Who is responsible

The data controller is Lá Sweet by Ela, Haaksbergerstraat 302, 7513 EH Enschede. KvK (Dutch Chamber of Commerce) 42087779, VAT ID NL005486883B50. Please send any questions about privacy to info@lasweetbyela.nl.

What data we use

When you order: your name, email address, pickup date, what you order and, if you fill them in, the occasion and any extra requests.

When you request catering: your name, email address, the date, location and number of people, and, if you fill them in, your phone number, company name and wishes.

When you email us or send a DM: whatever you send us yourself.

When you visit the site: which pages you view, which site you came from, your type of device and browser, and roughly where you are (country or city). You can read more about this below, under Cookies and analytics.

What we use it for

• Getting your order ready and sending you a confirmation.
• Replying to your catering request and preparing a quote.
• Answering your questions.
• Keeping our accounts, because the law requires it.
• Seeing which pages work well, so we can improve the site.

We don't send you a newsletter and we never sell your data.

Why we're allowed to use it

• Ordering: we need your details to carry out your order.
• Catering and questions: you ask us for a reply or a quote yourself.
• Accounts: tax rules require it.
• Google Analytics: only with your consent. You can withdraw it at any time.
• Counting visits without cookies: our legitimate interest in keeping the site working well. You can't be identified this way.

Payment

You pay through Mollie. Mollie processes your payment details; we see whether you have paid and how much.

Who we share data with

Only with parties we need to make the site and your order work:

• Mollie, for payment.
• Resend, for our confirmation emails.
• Vercel, which hosts the website and counts visits without cookies.
• Google, for Google Analytics, only if you choose to allow it.
• Our email provider, for email sent to info@lasweetbyela.nl.

Some of these parties also operate outside the European Union. They use arrangements that guarantee European-level protection, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission.

How long we keep data

• Orders: seven years, because tax rules require it.
• Catering requests that don't lead to a booking: up to one year after your request.
• Emails and DMs: as long as needed to help you.

Cookies and analytics

Always: the site stores what it needs to work. That is your choice in the cookie notice (in your own browser) and, while you pay, the number of your payment. This lets the thank-you page show the right status. That cookie disappears after one day.

Without cookies: with Vercel Web Analytics, we count how many people view which page. We don't place anything on your device for this, and we can't use it to recognise you.

Only if you click “Accept”: we use Google Analytics. This shows us which pages are visited and how many orders and requests come in through the site. For this, Google Analytics places cookies (_ga), which stay for up to two years. We don't use this data for advertising. If you click “Decline”, we don't load Google Analytics.

You can change your choice at any time via Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw your consent, tracking stops immediately and we delete the Google Analytics cookies.

The site contains links to Instagram and TikTok. If you click them, the privacy rules of those platforms apply.

Your rights

You can always ask us what data we hold about you. You can also have it corrected or deleted, or object to its use. To do so, email info@lasweetbyela.nl. We'll respond within one month.

Not happy with how we handle your data? Then you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

Security

The site uses a secure connection (https). Only we, and the parties above for their own task, can access the details of your order.
